
WHITNEY KEYES is an international speaker, marketing expert and professor of strategic communications. For over 20 years, she has helped organizations and individuals to be more successful. Whitney has worked as a senior Microsoft manager, a strategic advisor for American Express and a marketing consultant to thousands of businesses around the world. She has also worked for the U.S. Department of State to empower women entrepreneurs in Malaysia, Kenya and Namibia. She’s the author of the book, Propel: Five ways to amp up your marketing and accelerate business.
While at Microsoft, Whitney managed global marketing campaigns, including the launch of Office 2000, an $8 billion business, and helped create the company’s primary philanthropy program, Unlimited Potential. Prior to that, she worked for the City of Tacoma helping over 500 small businesses stay in business and also managed her family’s retail store for many years. Today, Whitney serves as a fellow for the Center for Strategic Communications at Seattle University and guest lectures for the University of Washington and other academic institutions. She manages a consulting practice, delivers keynotes and facilitates workshops for national organizations including Small Business Administration. Whitney writes for business publications and produces content for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer’s Biz Bite Blog. She also co-produced and hosted over 50 episodes of WhitneyandWyatt.com, a weekly online talk show for women.
